Premarital Programs & Counseling
 |
Congratulations!
If you're reading this, you're thinking about a marriage proposal or you're already planning your wedding.
Either way, we have some important info to share with you! |
Did you know that . . . ?
- Problematic patterns of interaction develop early in a couple's relationship, often during the dating phase.
- Many couples believe things will improve once they're married. However, negative patterns persist over time and often escalate as the relationship continues.
- The number one reason people seek the help of a counselor is due to distress in a close relationship, and you can prevent undue distress before it happens by participating in premarital counseling.

Creating Connection Before You Marry*
A 6-week Program for Premarital Couples
You've heard that "an ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure"? That's why we designed our premarital program — to help you recognize and restructure problematic patterns before they get in the way of your growing love for one another. Unlike many premarital programs, Creating Connection is based both on sound biblical principles and the findings of marital research.
 |
Offered twice a year in a small-group format (3 couples per group), Creating Connection is uniquely tailored to fit your individual personalities — to help you and your future spouse understand the dynamics and development of your relationship as you begin your new life together. |
Creating Connection is comprised of six 90-minute group sessions:
- Your first session will include an overview of our program and a discussion of your goals for premarital counseling.
- During your second session, partners will each complete gender-specific interview (guys meet separately from gals), as well as comprehensive assessments of your individual and relational characteristics.
- The third session is an opportunity for you and your partner to meet with the counselor (without the other 2 couples) to review your relationship assessment.
- Your remaining small group sessions will provide you with ample opportunities to learn more about one another and about the development of a healthy, satisfying relationship.
Cost: $575 per Couple
(includes 5 group sessions, 1 couple session, assessment, & Hold Me Tight)
*Registration for the Fall Program is now closed.
