Debi Smith, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist (PSY21711) and Director of OC Christian Counseling. Her primary approach to helping couples is through Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. A skilled clinical supervisor, Dr. Smith offers training opportunities for post-doctoral and doctoral students who are seeking to refine their skills as couples therapists. Dan Pallesen, MA, is a Psychological Assistant (PSB33656) working under Dr. Smith's supervision. Experienced in working with both men's and women's issues, Dan is currently studying Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. He earned his Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology-Biola University, where he is continuing his doctoral studies. Our newest Associate, Dave Carder, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, author of the bestselling Torn Asunder (100,000 in print), and a sought-after expert on issues of adultery. He speaks to a wide variety of audiences both nationally and internationally on issues of preventing and recovering from adultery. Dave serves as pastor responsible for counseling ministries at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, California, and carries on an active counseling practice.
